While fully usable, time2relax is still pre-1.0 software and has no backwards compatibility guarantees until the 1.0 release occurs! Please make sure to read the changelog carefully anytime you upgrade!

To use time2relax in a project:

>>> from time2relax import CouchDB
>>> db = CouchDB('http://localhost:5984/dbname')

Most of the API is exposed as:

>>> db.function(*args, **kwargs)

Where **kwargs are optional arguments that requests.Session.request() takes.

Feature Support

  • Requests ✨🍰✨ (HTTP for Humans) under the hood.
  • A minimum level of abstraction between you and CouchDB.
  • Transparent URL and parameter encoding.
  • HTTP exceptions modelled from CouchDB error codes.
  • Tested on CouchDB 1.6.x and 1.7.x (2.x.x unknown).

time2relax officially supports Python 2.7, 3.3+, and PyPy.
